Look elsewhere if
Your instrument has active electronics, a piezo preamp or a deeply recessed output jack.

Where the U2 fits
The U2 remains attractive because it removes almost every setup decision: plug in, match the channel and play. With a conventional passive electric guitar, that simplicity is the point.
It is not the universal option its shape suggests. Xvive documents interference with some active and piezo electronics, and 2.4 GHz can be a busy place in venues. Test the exact guitar and performance environment before depending on it live.
